Philosophy of Ministry

Our Purpose:
The believers at Mountain Creek Christian Fellowship are . . .

"Seeking to know God and to make Him known."

 

Our Mission: We commit to make known to all people everywhere God's call to wholeness through forgiveness and holiness in Jesus Christ, and to invite into membership and to equip for ministry all who respond in faith.

Our Values: We believe our purpose is best achieved and our mission is most successfully accomplished when we, as a community of Christians, are healthy in Christ. We believe healthy churches display eight essential elements or quality characteristics:

  • Empowering leadership--releasing the potential of others
  • Gift-oriented ministry--operating in God's strength, not in our own
  • Passionate spirituality--living in intimacy with Jesus Christ
  • Functional structures--organizing as a means to an end
  • Inspiring worship--acknowledging that God is God and we are not
  • Holistic small groups--exploring every aspect of Christian community
  • Need-oriented evangelism--building bridges to a lost and hurting world
  • Loving relationships--practically expressing God's love to one another

    • We will constantly strive, in the power of the Holy Spirit, to grow and to develop in all of these areas, to the glory of God.
